General Shelters began their journey 50 years ago manufacturing portable metal buildings, and have been perfecting their craft ever since. General Shelters portable metal buildings are wood-framed, and clad in 29 gauge steel. Standard features include treated l2x6" skids, engineered trusses 48" off center, 5/8" Sturdi Floor plywood, 2x4" studs 24" off center, 2x6" 16" off center, Available in a wide assortment of attractive colors, buildings can be as large as 18x66 feet, or as small as 8x8 feet.
Trees of Central Texas carries a wide assortment of storage on site. If you want a specialty building with features we do not have in stock, we can help design and have your storage building manufactured and delivered for an additional fee.

Options for storage buildings include: sheathing, insulation, full electric packages (outlets, switches, lights) roll-up doors, panelling, work benches, peg boards, lofts, wall mounted air conditioning, and more.
Storage buildings feature barn, gable, or monoslope style roofing. Custom color options are available for the roof, sides, and trim.

Prices shown are pre-tax, and include standard delivery, blocking, and levelling of your building within 25 miles of our location.

Design your Building Here
For the first time, General Shelters offers an online building design tool for you to use to design your perfect building!
Use this tool to choose the roof style, size (up to 16x40), insulation, door and window placement/size, electrical fixtures, flooring, wall sheathing, lofts, and much more. Notable absent are interior walls, which can be specified once the basic plan is designed.
Once you have completed your design, we will receive it via email, and then reach out by phone and email to discuss your design. You will be given the quote for construction. Standard delivey costs will be calculated based on where your building will be placed.
